Wayne Community College Launches Five-Week Holiday Semester with Six Online Courses

GOLDSBORO, N.C. — Wayne Community College is offering students an opportunity to earn college credits during the winter break through a condensed five-week holiday semester running from November 17 through December 29.

The accelerated session will feature six fully online courses designed to help students advance their academic progress during the traditional holiday period. The courses include Business Law I, Introduction to Computers, Personal Health/Wellness, Quantitative Literacy, Music Appreciation, and Introduction to Jazz.

The condensed format allows students to complete full-credit courses in significantly less time than a traditional semester, providing flexibility for multiple student populations. Current WCC students can use the holiday semester to get ahead in their degree programs, while new students have the opportunity to jumpstart their spring semester coursework.

The college is also welcoming visiting students from four-year institutions, emphasizing that all courses offered during the holiday semester are fully transferable.

Registration for the holiday semester is currently open, with tuition payments due by 12 p.m. on November 14.

Students interested in enrolling can find additional information and registration details at https://www.waynecc.edu/stock-up/.

The holiday semester represents an increasingly popular option among community colleges nationwide, allowing students to maximize their break time while making meaningful progress toward their educational goals.
