Community Gathering to Connect Residents with Service Opportunities

WAYNE COUNTY, N.C. — Wayne County residents will have the chance to explore meaningful volunteer and mentorship opportunities at an upcoming community event hosted by the Wayne County Chamber of Commerce and designed to connect individuals with local organizations making a difference.

Event Details

The LIFT Event will take place on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Goldsboro Worship Center. The evening will feature representatives from several prominent organizations throughout Wayne County, all focused on creating pathways for community members to engage in mentorship and volunteer service.

Participating Organizations

Five key organizations will be represented at the event, each offering distinct opportunities for community involvement. Wayne County Public Schools, the Wayne County Chamber of Commerce, WAGES, The Boys & Girls Clubs of Wayne County, and Communities Supporting Schools will all be present to share information about their respective programs and volunteer needs.

What Attendees Can Expect

The evening will provide attendees with inspiring stories demonstrating the impact of mentorship in the local community. Beyond hearing these accounts, participants will have practical opportunities to take action, including the ability to register on-site to become a mentor or volunteer with one of the represented organizations.
