This week’s WGBR Pet of the Week powered by Jackson & Sons from the Wayne County Animal Shelter, is a chatty little sweetheart named Tweet – and she’s ready to purr her way into your heart and home.

Tweet is a 2-year-old female domestic short-haired mix with a soft white coat accented by beautiful splashes of orange and black. But what really sets her apart? A unique, heart-shaped mark right on her nose – as if she was painted with love.

Described by shelter staff as sweet, sassy, and full of personality, Tweet definitely lives up to her name. She’s vocal and expressive, often “talking” to anyone who passes by her kennel. Whether she’s basking in a sunny spot or soaking up attention from visitors, Tweet makes it clear she’s ready for her FUR-EVER home.

Tweet has been at the shelter since June, and while she’s been a favorite among volunteers, it’s time for her to find a family of her own. She would thrive in a home where she can be loved, spoiled, and—of course—heard!
