Linda Horne Rogers, 75, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 9, 2025, in the presence of her loving family. Born in on September 21, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Percy Barden Horne and Arthie Mae Horne.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Wayne Rogers; sisters, Hilda Benson, and Carolyn Horne; and brothers, Joseph Horne, and Donnell Horne.
Linda is survived by her children, Wilbur Rogers, Jr. and wife, Pamela, and Gail Lawhorn and husband, Adam; grandchildren, Eden Lawhorn, Nyah Lawhorn, Corey Rogers, and Nathan Rogers; sisters, Lucille Sullivan and husband, Elwood, Rose Horne and husband, James, Judy Horne, Gladys Murray, Elsie Massey, and Thelma Davis; and brothers, Tim Horne and wife, Pam, Michael Horne and wife, Teresa, James “Shorty” Horne, and Tommy Horne. Linda is also survived by many nieces and nephews she loved dearly.
Linda was a very loving, outgoing person who loved talking to people. She wanted to give everyone a hug and enjoyed getting together with her family. She had a wonderful sense of humor all the way until the very end. She was loved and will be missed by many. She loved her children, grandchildren, her sisters, and her brothers. She loved to attend gospel singings, watch the birds, and was always on the go. Linda was a member of Mt. Zion Original Free Will Baptist. She loved the Lord, and it was evident in her everyday life.
A memorial service to celebrate Linda’s life will be announced in the coming days.
