Three Men Injured in Early Morning Goldsboro Shooting

GOLDSBORO, N.C. — Three men were hospitalized with gunshot wounds following a shooting incident early Thursday morning in Goldsboro, according to the Goldsboro Police Department.

Officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert on Rockefeller Court at approximately 12:42 a.m. on October 9, 2025. While police were still investigating the scene, two victims arrived at UNC Health Wayne with gunshot injuries.

Shortly thereafter, authorities learned that a third victim had been transported from Greene County to ECU Health Medical Center, also suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victims have been identified as Nasire Green, 19, of Goldsboro; Josiah Bell, 19, of Goldsboro; and Ervin Barnes Jr., 21, of Goldsboro. The condition of the victims has not been released.

The Goldsboro Police Department’s Investigative Services Bureau and Crime Scene Unit were called to the scene to conduct a criminal investigation.

The investigation remains ongoing, and police have not released information about potential suspects or what may have led to the shooting.
