Vicky Lynn Bell Cotton, life long resident of the Rones Chapel area near Mount Olive, passed away early Sunday morning, October 5, 2025, at her home. She was 66 years old.
Vicky had a long tenure of employment with the Social Security Administration in its Goldsboro district office, and prior to that, she was employed with Mount Olive College. She was a member of Bear Marsh Missionary Baptist Church where she had served in many capacities throughout her membership.
She leaves behind her husband, George Marvin “Buck” Cotton, Jr.; a brother and sister-in-law, Timmy and Renee O. Bell; and a nephew, Josh Bell, his wife, Kaitlyn Brock Bell, and their sons, Easton and Carson Bell, all of the Rones Chapel area.
Vicky now joins in heaven, the company of her parents, Willie Donnell Bell and Edna Eatmon Bell; and a special aunt, Elizabeth Eatmon.
A private graveside service will be held at Wayne Memorial Park. For those wishing to remember Vicky through a memorial gift, suggested is Bear Marsh Church, 1649 Beautancus Road, Mount Olive NC 28365. Friends may call at the home of Timmy and Renee Bell.
