Signature Event at The Artist Lounge Combines Culture and Culinary Excellence
RALEIGH, N.C. — The Artist Lounge Raleigh will host The Cultural Pour, a signature event blending food, drinks, music, and art, this Friday, October 10, from 4 to 8 p.m. at 1011 S Person Street.
The evening promises a unique cultural and professional experience designed to celebrate community while supporting meaningful causes. This year’s event will spotlight Griot & Grits, a culturally relevant nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving the history of the Black experience through AI and other advanced technologies, capturing stories one voice at a time.
What to Expect
Guests will enjoy a floating-style experience featuring local vendors and curated entertainment in an elevated, welcoming atmosphere. The evening’s musical entertainment will showcase the textured vocals and sultry melodies of performers Ally J and Kevin Clark.
For those seeking a relaxed ambiance, the venue offers a secluded outdoor lounge where guests can retreat and unwind in style.
Culinary Offerings
General admission tickets, priced at $40, include a welcoming charcuterie spread paired with either sommelier-selected wine or a refreshing mocktail. Early bird tickets at $30 have already sold out, indicating strong community interest in the event.
Attendees can elevate their culinary experience by adding Chef Lemar’s signature Taco Experience, featuring four distinct offerings:
- Chicken carnitas with pickled peppers, ancho sauce, and radish
- Steak with green sauce and queso fresco
- Shrimp with lime slaw and suiza sauce
- Mushroom chorizo (vegetarian) with pickled peppers
Tacos are available as three of the same variety for $10 or three mix-and-match for $12.
Event Details
Doors open at 3:55 p.m., with the event running until 8 p.m. Tickets are non-refundable but may be transferred to another person by contacting the organizer. Sales end in one day.
