Mental Health Association to Host Domestic Violence Awareness Lunch & Learn

GOLDSBORO, N.C. — The Mental Health Association in Wayne County will host a free community Lunch and Learn event in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month on Thursday, October 9, 2025.

The event will take place from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at the Wayne County Public Library, located at 1001 E. Ash Street in Goldsboro.

Representatives from the Wayne Uplift Domestic Violence Program will lead the session, sharing valuable insights and resources designed to strengthen the community’s awareness and response to domestic violence issues.

The Lunch and Learn format provides an opportunity for community members to gather over a meal while engaging in important conversations about domestic violence prevention, recognition, and support services available locally.

October is nationally recognized as Domestic Violence Awareness Month, a time dedicated to raising awareness about domestic violence and supporting survivors. The month-long observance seeks to connect advocates, service providers, and community members in addressing this critical public health issue.

The event is free and open to the public. Lunch will be provided to attendees.
