James Anthony Whitworth, 82, of Fremont passed away on Friday, September 5, 2025. Jimmy was born in Fremont, on May 12, 1943, to Richard and Frances Whitworth.

Jimmy was an Air Force veteran. He enjoyed watching westerns, gardening, going to auctions and collecting vintage treasures. He loved building and fixing things, and spent many years as a general handyman.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Sue Walston.

He is survived by his daughters, Dawn Lanier and Kimberly Deaver; his grandchildren, Danielle Garcia, Ethan Deaver, Megan Mulrath, and Hanna Benton; his great-grandchildren, Addie Mulrath, Jacob Garcia, and Wyatt Mulrath; and his siblings Dickie Whitworth, Carolyn Worrell, Janet Byrns, Linda Davis, and Larry Whitworth.

He will be deeply missed and forever cherished in our hearts and memories. We are grateful to the staff at Kitty Askins Hospice Center for their compassionate care of our sweet daddy. In accordance with his wishes, there will be no memorial service. Our family appreciates your love, support, and prayers during this difficult time.
