Tracey Lynne Jones, 55, passed away on a Monday, September 22, 2025. Tracey was born on August 8, 1970 in Johnston County to the late Jim Jones, Sr. and Zillie Ann Grice.

Tracey was a warm and loving soul who treasured her family above all else. She especially enjoyed the simple joys of life, whether spending time with her little dog, Cookie, or joining in family vacations fishing by the ocean. Christmas was her favorite time of year, as it gave her the chance to delight her loved ones with both gifts and affection. Wherever her family was, Tracey was truly at home.

Tracey is survived by her son, Michael Jones and wife, Laura of Kenly; her daughter, Brianna Jones and her spouse, Nathan Parker of Selma; her sister, Patricia Lynn and husband, Percy of Selma; her niece, Victoria Hancock and husband, Timothy of Princeton; her nephews, Juan Monroy of Chapel Hill and Antonio Lynn and wife, Victoria of Benson; her great niece, Savanna Hancock; and her great nephews, Austin Hancock and Antonio Lynn Jr. Tracey also leaves behind loving cousins and friends that loved her dearly.

In addition to her parents, Tracey was preceded in death by her brother, Jim G. Jones Jr.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 25, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Kenly Funeral Service. A service to honor Tracey’s life will be held in the chapel at 2:00 p.m. Interment will conclude at Selma Memorial Gardens in Selma.
