Local Business Offers Comprehensive Administrative Support Services
WAYNE COUNTY, N.C. – The Wayne County Chamber of Commerce recently hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the launch of Hawthorne & Pine LLC, a new business venture offering stress-free administrative support services to companies of all sizes.
Founder Brings Decade of Experience to New Venture
Jessica Kessler, founder and owner of Hawthorne & Pine, officially launched her business with the ceremonial ribbon cutting. Kessler brings over a decade of administrative and payroll expertise to her new venture, having worked in various roles since 2012 across multiple industries.
“I’ve worked for and with state agencies, law firms, startup tech companies, newly established consulting firms, and small businesses handling anything from payroll to bookkeeping, to client invoicing, and everything in between,” Kessler explained during the ceremony.
Addressing a Critical Business Need
The inspiration for Hawthorne & Pine came from Kessler’s observation that administrative and support roles are often the last positions small businesses and startups hire for, despite the critical need for these functions.
“The size of the company doesn’t take away the need for these administrative functions, and conversely that need doesn’t materialize the funds to hire an in-house administrative support role. That’s where I come in,” Kessler noted.
Comprehensive Service Offerings
Hawthorne & Pine operates under the motto “stress-free business support” and offers a wide range of back-office administrative services, including:
- Basic bookkeeping
- Human resources and administrative support
- Payroll processing
- General business operations
- Tax compliance assistance
- Regulatory correspondence management
The company takes a collaborative approach, offering baseline packages while customizing services to fit specific client requirements and financial situations.
Serving Businesses of All Sizes
Kessler emphasized that her services are available to businesses regardless of size. Her experience spans from small local businesses to large pharmaceutical companies operating across the United States, as well as tech startups and various other industries.
“Nurturing and supporting your business is our priority. Hawthorne & Pine provides a grounded, and solution-oriented system of support that looks at your business as a whole—rather than narrow pieces,” according to the company’s mission statement.

Community Support

The ceremony concluded with Kessler successfully cutting the ceremonial ribbon, officially marking the beginning of Hawthorne & Pine’s mission to help local businesses focus on what they do best while handling the essential operational aspects that keep companies running smoothly.
