Popular Downtown Ghost Tour Offers Spine-Tingling Entertainment Through October

WAKE FOREST, N.C. – The beloved “Spirits of Wake Forest” ghost walk is returning for another haunting season, offering residents and visitors a chance to explore the supernatural side of Historic Downtown Wake Forest. The popular walking tour will run from September 25 through October 30, 2025, featuring both returning favorites and new ghostly tales.

Tour Details and Schedule

Tours will depart from Wake Forest Town Hall at 301 South Brooks Street, taking participants through the historic business district along South White Street. The approximately 75-minute walking tours will operate on the following schedule:

  • Thursdays and Fridays: 6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m.
  • Saturdays: 6:30 p.m., 7 p.m., 8 p.m., and 8:30 p.m.

Each tour is limited to 20 participants and will proceed rain or shine, unless severe weather poses safety concerns.

Tickets and Pricing

Tickets are priced at $23.18 and will go on sale Thursday, September 4, 2025, at 12 p.m. Interested participants are encouraged to purchase early, as tours typically sell out. Tickets will be available until sold out.

What to Expect

This year’s tour promises a blend of last season’s most popular stories along with fresh material exploring Wake Forest’s haunted history. The walking tour focuses exclusively on the business district and will not include private residences along North and South Main Streets.

Age Requirements and Safety Guidelines

The ghost walk is recommended for ages 8 and up, though younger children are welcome at parental discretion. All attendees under 17 must be accompanied by an adult. For safety and liability purposes, all participants will be required to sign an activity waiver, with legal guardians signing for minors under 18.

Pets are not permitted on the tours, and organizers ask that participants leave their “furry family members” at home.

The event is hosted by Wake Forest Downtown, Inc., a certified 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the economic vitality of downtown Wake Forest, in partnership with Firebox Theatre Company. The collaboration aims to share meaningful stories while fostering community engagement and supporting local arts.
