GOLDSBORO, N.C. — The Charles B. Aycock Falcons delivered a dominant performance Friday night, blanking the visiting Goldsboro Cougars 42-0 in what was billed as the Pittman Agner Law High School Game of the Week.
The Cougars entered the contest searching for their first victory of the 2025 season, but found themselves overwhelmed by a Falcons squad that capitalized on home field advantage from the opening drive. What was anticipated to be a pivotal Week 4 matchup quickly turned into a one-sided affair as Charles B. Aycock controlled both sides of the ball throughout the evening.
The shutout victory showcased the Falcons’ balanced attack and stout defensive unit, which held Goldsboro scoreless across four quarters. The Cougars, still winless on the season, were unable to generate sustained offensive momentum against a well-prepared Charles B. Aycock defense.
Friday’s contest kicked off at 7:00 p.m. with comprehensive media coverage provided through the UNC Health Wayne Pre-Game Show, which began at 6:30 p.m. on FM 98.3 WGBR. Fans unable to attend the game could follow the action via live streaming at GoldsboroDailyNews.com.
