Sterling Raynor Myatt

Sterling Raynor Myatt

September 4, 2025, 35, Goldsboro —

Sterling Raynor Myatt, 35, of Snow Hill, formerly of Wayne County, passed away on September 4, 2025 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident, along side her husband, Dustin Myatt. Born November 13, 1989, she was the daughter of Bobby Raynor and Linda (Raynor) Williamson.

Sterling’s greatest joy in life was being a mother to her three beautiful children, Xylea, Callea and Jax, who were her pride, purpose, and her life’s greatest treasure. Her dedicated love for her children never waned.

Those who knew Sterling will remember her resilience and strength. She walked through dark seasons but emerged with courage, hope, and determination. She fought and overcame addiction, rebuilding her life piece by piece and thriving in ways that inspired everyone around her. Her faith was a comfort and guidance in her life. Just as she was stepping into the fullness of her journey, she was called home far too soon.

Sterling was gifted in making others feel seen, welcomed and remembered with her genuine spirit of love. Whether it was remembering birthdays, sending thoughtful messages, or showing up for friends and family, she carried a heart of deep compassion and generosity. Her laughter was of a happy heart, and her radiant smile could light a room. Easy to meet others and never met a stranger, and her kindness left a lasting mark on everyone she met.

Though she and Dustin were married a short 7 months, they shared a most special relationship, one filled with deep compassion and led by the faith the two of them shared.

She is survived by her three children, Xylea Howell, Callea Walden and Jax Walden, her mother and step-father whom she called “Dad”, Linda and Barb Williamson, brother Daniel Raynor, aunts and uncles, Joyce and Frank Barnes, Lois and James Arthur, and Cindy and Carlton Aycock and many cousins, and extended family members who loved her dearly. Dustin’s parents, Chris Myatt, Kim and Shaun Edwards, brother Ashby Vandiford and special niece Gracie Vandiford, and his paternal grandparents Mr. & Mrs. Gene Myatt, all of Snow Hill.

She was preceded in death by her father, Bobby Raynor, cousin, Jamie Arthur and maternal grandparents, Melba & Elsworth (Cricket) Dail, and paternal grandmother, Christine Raynor.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home in Goldsboro. A service to honor Sterling’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Barry Stallings and Pastor Dennis Pollock officiating. Interment will conclude at Snow Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that private donations be made to Linda Williamson for Sterling’s children, ensuring Sterling’s legacy of love and resilience continues to shine.

Sterling’s story is one of courage, love, and second chances. Though her time here was far too short, the impact she made will never be forgotten.

The family is in the care of Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
