Wayne County Public Library to Host Music and Movement Program for Young Children

GOLDSBORO, N.C. – The Wayne County Public Library in Goldsboro will present a special “Music and Movement” program designed to engage young children and their caregivers on Thursday, September 11, from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m.

The interactive 30-minute session aims to boost brain development through musical activities and physical movement, targeting children ages birth through 5 years old. Parents, guardians, or other caregivers are encouraged to participate alongside the children in this early childhood development program.

Music and movement activities are proven to support cognitive development, motor skills, and social interaction in young children. The program combines the benefits of musical exposure with physical activity to create an engaging learning environment for preschool-aged participants.

The event will take place at the Wayne County Public Library’s Goldsboro location at 1001 E Ash Street. No advance registration is required, making it easily accessible for families who wish to attend.

The library continues to offer programming that supports early childhood education and family engagement within the community. Parents and caregivers interested in attending can contact the library at (919) 735-1824 for additional information about the program or other upcoming family-friendly events.
