Frankie Anderson Collins, 90, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at home surrounded by her loving family.
Frankie was born in Lenoir County on May 8, 1935 to the late Earl and Blanche Smith Anderson. She was married to the late Silas Collins for 56 years.
She was retired from Winn Dixie after many years of service.
Frankie is survived by her sons, Glenn and wife, Lynda Collins, David and wife, Christy Collins, and her daughter Robin Ingram; grandchildren, Jason Ackiss, Joshua Collins and wife, Melissa, Clayton Ingram and Kyndall Collins; great-grandchildren, Jase and Noah Ackiss, Jameson and Emma Collins. She is also survived by her sister, Edna King and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Silas Jonathan Collins and granddaughter-in-law, Julie Ackiss; her sisters, Bernice Jones and Selma Gurley and her brothers, Vernon Anderson, Martin Anderson and Jesse Anderson.
The family would like to thank all their family and friends for their love and support during this time. Also a special thank you to the staff of Heartland Hospice for their compassionate care and support, you’re the best.
A graveside service will be held Friday, September 5, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Princeton. The family will greet friends following the service.
