NC Rural Center REDI Leadership Training Program Applications Soon Closing

WAYNE COUNTY, NC — The North Carolina Rural Center is accepting applications for its Rural Economic Development Institute (REDI), an intensive leadership training program designed to equip participants with the skills needed to address critical economic and community challenges facing their regions.

Program Overview

REDI offers a comprehensive nine-day, hands-on training experience delivered over three months at the NC Rural Center’s Raleigh headquarters. The program is structured as three intensive sessions scheduled for October 7-9, November 4-6, and December 2-4. Participants must attend all three sessions to receive a certificate of completion.

The curriculum focuses on developing practical skills to tackle current and emerging critical issues and economic trends, with an emphasis on creating meaningful impact in local communities and regions.

Application Process and Investment

Prospective participants must navigate a competitive two-step application process. Those who successfully complete the initial application phase will then be invited to complete registration and payment.

The program investment is $3,500, which covers all nine days of training, comprehensive training materials, continental breakfast and catered lunch for each session day, and networking social events during each session. The fee does not include travel expenses, lodging, or additional meals outside of those provided.

Financial Assistance Available

Recognizing the importance of accessibility, the NC Rural Center offers scholarships of up to $3,000 to qualifying applicants. Importantly, no payment is required during the initial application phase, ensuring financial barriers do not prevent interested candidates from applying.
