GOLDSBORO, N.C. — The Wayne County Board of Education has announced a series of committee meetings scheduled for this week at the district’s Central Services building.

Four committees will convene over two days to address various aspects of school district operations, according to a district announcement. All meetings will take place in the Boardroom at WCPS Central Services, located at 2001 E. Royall Avenue in Goldsboro.

The meeting schedule begins Tuesday, August 19, with the Facilities Committee convening at 1:30 p.m. Three additional committees will meet Wednesday, August 20, starting with the Finance Committee at 10 a.m., followed by the Curriculum & Instruction Committee at 2 p.m.

The district indicated that meeting agendas will be made available to the public once finalized. Community members can access these agendas through the district’s BoardDocs portal at http://www.boarddocs.com/nc/wcpsnc/Board.nsf/Public#.

These committee meetings typically precede full Board of Education meetings and allow board members to examine specific issues in greater detail before bringing recommendations to the full board for consideration.

The Wayne County Public School System serves students throughout Wayne County, with Central Services coordinating administrative functions for the district.
