Local Food Bank Opens Doors to Community Members in Need

Koinonia Christian Center offers free food distribution with no registration required

GOLDSBORO, N.C. – Koinonia Christian Center will host its monthly community food bank on Tuesday, August 12, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at The Journey on the KCC campus.

The free food distribution event requires no advance registration or sign-up, welcoming community members to simply arrive during operating hours. Food will be available on a first-come, first-served basis until supplies are exhausted or the 2:00 p.m. closing time, whichever comes first.

Organizers emphasized that the program’s mission is to remind community members that they have not been forgotten and to support local families and individuals facing food insecurity.

The food bank operates on a regular schedule, taking place on the second Tuesday and fourth Wednesday of each month. Community members are encouraged to follow posted signs to locate the entrance upon arrival at the KCC campus.

Koinonia Christian Center’s food distribution program represents an ongoing community outreach effort, providing essential groceries and food items to residents at no cost. The initiative serves as part of the organization’s broader mission to support local families in need.

The next scheduled food bank following this Tuesday’s event will take place on the fourth Wednesday of August, continuing the organization’s twice-monthly service schedule.
