Michael David Grantham, 69, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at UNC Wayne Healthcare in Goldsboro, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on April 26, 1956, in Fort Benning, Georgia, Michael was the son of D.T. Grantham of Goldsboro and the late Geraldine Sasser Grantham. He spent many years as a dedicated truck driver for the family business, D.T. Grantham Trucking Company, where he was known for his strong work ethic and commitment.

Michael will be fondly remembered for his love of motorcycles and his passion for golf—two hobbies that brought him great joy and many friendships over the years. His kind heart, adventurous spirit, and devotion to his family will be dearly missed.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at Wayne Memorial Park. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.

In addition to his father, Michael is survived by his beloved wife, Joy Grantham; his daughter, Kendall Brooke Grantham; and his cherished grandchildren: Dylan, Aiden, Ashton, Savannah, Jax, Hunter, and Dallas. He is also survived by his brother, Kent Grantham and wife Genny, and his sister, Renee Grantham.
