WAYNE COUNTY, N.C. — A routine traffic stop conducted on June 30th at approximately 11:00 p.m. resulted in the arrest of a 45-year-old woman on multiple drug-related charges. Officers initially stopped the vehicle for traffic violations but developed probable cause during the investigative stop to search the vehicle.
Narcotics Discovered During Stop
The search of the vehicle led to the discovery of narcotics, resulting in the arrest of passenger Brandy Michell Kosier. The investigation revealed additional controlled substances in her possession.
Additional Charges Filed After Jail Booking
Upon being processed at the Wayne County Jail, authorities determined that Kosier was in possession of additional narcotics. This discovery led to supplementary charges being filed in addition to those stemming from the original traffic stop.
Charges and Bond Information
Kosier faces four charges related to the incident:
- Possession of Methamphetamine
- Possession of controlled substance on jail premises
- Simple possession of Schedule VI controlled substance
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
She received a total secured bond of $9,000, which was set at the Wayne County Magistrate’s Office. The case demonstrates the serious legal consequences of drug possession, particularly when additional contraband is discovered during the booking process.
