CLAYTON, N.C. – Southern Give Back Corporation will host a day-long HBCU Community Festival on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at 2286 Polenta Road in Clayton, with all proceeds benefiting scholarships for Historically Black Colleges and Universities students.

The fundraising event features two distinct programs designed to engage families and the broader community throughout the day and evening.

Family-Friendly Festivities Begin at Noon

The HBCU Community Festival kicks off at 12:00 PM and runs until 5:00 PM, offering entertainment for all ages. Highlights include horseback rides, bounce houses, food trucks, and traditional games like cornhole and horseshoes. Attendees can also enjoy line dancing, live music, vendor booths, and raffle opportunities.

A competitive gaming tournament featuring NBA 2K will begin at 1:00 PM, with a $50 entry fee that includes general admission to the festival. The tournament winner will receive 15% of the total earnings, and participants must pre-register for the competition.

General admission is $15 for adults and $5 for children under 12. Festival-goers are encouraged to bring their own tents, chairs, and coolers to enhance their experience.

Evening Program Celebrates Greek Life and Step Culture

The celebration continues with an evening event from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM, specifically designed for fraternity and sorority members and step teams. All attendees for the evening program must arrive by 6:00 PM.

Vendor Opportunities Available

The organization welcomes vendors throughout the entire day-long event. Food trucks and other vendors interested in participating can secure their spots by contacting the organizers.

Supporting HBCU Students

All funds raised during the festival will directly support scholarship opportunities for students attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities, continuing Southern Give Back Corporation’s mission to invest in higher education within the Black community.
