Terry Lee Cline, 63, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, June 22, 2025. Born in Danville, Virginia on September 3, 1961, he was the son of Louella Brummett Cline and the late Charles Ray Cline.
In addition to his father, Terry is preceded in death by his fiancé, Sherry Ballance; and the mother of his children, Carolyn Cline.
Terry is survived by his children, Brandon Lee Cline and wife, Amanda, and Elizabeth Anne Daughtry and husband, David; grandchildren, Colton Cline, Matthew Waters, Charles Nutter, Joshua Nutter, Tristan Nutter, Isabella Nutter, and Shelby Anne Nutter; great-grandchildren, Jace Turner, Liam Turner, Adalyn Turner, and Elliana Nutter; brother, Michael Cline and wife, Yvonne; sister, Kimberly Leinberger and husband, Bob; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins that he loved dearly.
From a young age, Terry lived life in the fast lane. Racing wasn’t just a hobby; it was a way of life. Behind the wheel, he found freedom, focus, and the thrill that fueled him. His love for the track was only matched by his love for the woods during deer season. An avid hunter, Terry cherished the peace of early mornings outdoors, often sharing those moments with those closest to him.
Above all, Terry’s heart belonged to his loved ones. No matter how busy life became—on the track, in the woods—his family always came first. His love for his family knew no bounds and each moment he spent together with them is a memory he cherished forever. Terry will be remembered not only for his accomplishments and passions but for the way he made people feel—safe, proud, and deeply loved. His memory will forever live on in the roar of engines, the rustle of autumn leaves, and the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
The family will receive friends on Friday, June 27, 2025 from 6 pm until 7 pm at Seymour Funeral Home. A service to celebrate Terry’s life will be held at 7 pm in the chapel following the visitation. Terry will be laid to rest at the Cline Family Cemetery in Pikeville.
