Goldsboro, N.C. — The city of Goldsboro will come alive with music, culture, and community spirit on Saturday, June 21, during the Juneteenth Unity & Heritage Festival, a free, public celebration honoring African American history and freedom.
Taking place in downtown Goldsboro from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., the festival invites residents and visitors to come together for a vibrant day of reflection and unity. Featuring live music, food vendors, art displays, and family-friendly activities, the event highlights the enduring legacy of Juneteenth while celebrating local Black culture and talent.
“This festival is a celebration of freedom, heritage, and connection,” organizers said. “We invite everyone to come out, enjoy great performances, and reflect on the meaning of Juneteenth.”
Attendees can look forward to electrifying performances from Da Smitty Band, Triple D, and more. The festivities will culminate in a special evening concert by acclaimed songwriter and performer Alexander Star, held at the Paramount Theater following the daytime celebration.
The event is free and open to the public, and everyone is welcome to join in honoring a pivotal moment in American history through culture, music, and community engagement.
