Wilson, N.C. — North Carolina Commissioner of Labor Luke Farley will honor outstanding local employers and employees at the Department of Labor’s annual Safety Awards Banquet, to be held Tuesday, June 3, at the Wilson Chamber of Commerce.
The event, which begins at noon, highlights the commissioner’s ongoing mission to make North Carolina both the safest place to work and the best place to do business. The safety awards presented are more than formal recognition—they serve as a testament to the importance of fostering a strong culture of safety and accountability in workplaces across the state.
Commissioner Farley will deliver keynote remarks emphasizing North Carolina’s unique, three-pronged approach to workplace safety, which combines education, enforcement, and recognition. The event is co-sponsored by the Wilson Chamber of Commerce.
Local businesses and employees being recognized have demonstrated a sustained commitment to reducing workplace injuries and ensuring the well-being of their teams.
