Wilson Post Office Celebrating the Legacy of Milton F. Fitch, Sr. with Special Dedication Ceremony

Wilson, N.C. – Congressman Don Davis (NC-01), in partnership with the United States Postal Service, will host a special dedication ceremony on Saturday, May 17, 2025, to commemorate the renaming of the Wilson Post Office in honor of the late Milton F. Fitch, Sr. The ceremony will begin at 1:30 p.m. and will take place at Wilson Community College’s Eagles Center, Building G, located at 902 Herring Ave., Wilson, NC.

Milton F. Fitch, Sr. was a prominent figure in the Wilson community, known for his dedication to public service, leadership, and advocacy. Throughout his life, Fitch played a pivotal role in shaping the local community through his work and contributions. He was respected for his efforts to improve the lives of others and for being a tireless advocate for positive change in Wilson. The renaming of the post office serves as a tribute to Fitch’s lasting legacy and his many contributions to the city.

The dedication ceremony will feature remarks from Congressman Don Davis, representatives from the U.S. Postal Service, as well as local leaders and community members.
