Massive Crowds Flock to Wings Over Wayne Air Show

Goldsboro, N.C. — The skies over Seymour Johnson Air Force Base roared with excitement this past weekend as thousands attended the much-anticipated Wings Over Wayne Air Show.

One of the major highlights was a thrilling performance by the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, who wowed the crowd with a series of breathtaking aerobatic stunts. Spectators watched in awe as the elite pilots executed tight formations, high-speed passes, and vertical climbs that defied gravity.

The event, which spanned both Saturday and Sunday, saw dense crowds throughout the weekend, with Saturday drawing particularly large attendance. “All I can say is there was a very large crowd at the air show on Saturday,” one attendee remarked.

Beyond the aerial spectacles, the air show offered a wide array of ground attractions, including static plane displays that allowed visitors to get up close to various military and civilian aircraft. Family-friendly activities were also in full swing, providing fun and education for children of all ages.

Wings Over Wayne remains one of North Carolina’s premier aviation events, drawing aviation enthusiasts and families alike for a weekend of high-flying excitement.
