Wanda McCormick, 79, of La Grange passed away Friday, April 25, 2025 at ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville.

No formal services will be held.

Mrs. McCormick was born in Key West, Florida on June 26, 1945 to the late Walter and Mary Johnson Onusczak.  She was a retired cake decorator where she worked in the bakery at Berkeley Mall for many years until their closing.

She is survived by one son, Douglas McCormick (Lisa) of La Grange; three grandchildren, Sara Comer (Charlie), Brian McCormick and Elizabeth McCormick (Adam) and three great-grandchildren, Preston, Paisley and Austin.

Mrs. McCormick was preceded in death by her husband, John Clayton McCormick.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
