Brandon Lee Cannon, age 33, passed away on April 25, 2025, in Goldsboro, North Carolina. Born on April 9, 1992, in Wayne County, North Carolina, Brandon was the beloved son of Bruce Lee Barnes and Tammy Barnes. His life was a testament to love, laughter, and the importance of family, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving parents, Bruce and Tammy; his three beautiful children—Braydon Lee Cannon, Oakleigh Grace Cannon, and Bentlee Dayne Cannon—who were the light of his life. Brandon was a devoted father, always striving to create wonderful memories with his children and showering them with love. He was also a proud brother to Bruce “Ben” Barnes (Greysi Paz), Mary Barnes, and Kylie Reeves. His family extended beyond his immediate relatives, as he was surrounded by the unwavering support of his grandparents, Bill and Linda Barnes, and his great-grandmother, Reba Barnes. Brandon’s spirit was further enriched by the love of his aunts, uncles, Valerie Warren (Doug), Bill Barnes (Lisa), Ray Cannon (Hollie), and Adam Cannon (Melissa); and nephew, Dylan Paz, whom he held a special bond with and adored beyond measure.

Brandon was preceded in death by his cherished grandparents, David and Susan Cannon, and his dear brother, Bryce Lee Barnes.

The warmth of family gatherings and the joy of shared moments were the essence of Brandon’s life, and he was often the life of the party, bringing laughter and a smile to everyone around him. His love for his family was evident in every interaction, and he cherished the time spent with those he loved.

Brandon attended Rosewood High School and The Bridge Church, where he made lasting friendships and memories. He later found fulfillment as a painter, a role that allowed him to express his creativity and dedication to his craft. He was a man who took pride in his work, always striving to do his best.

From childhood through adulthood, Brandon loved baseball. Not only did he enjoy watching it, he even more so enjoyed playing it as a youngster, in high school, and even on to his adult life. He enjoyed playing baseball with his kids, nephew, and friends any time they got together. He was an avid Atlanta Braves fan and always wanted to watch the Boston Red Sox play.
