Albert “Bert” Dekalb Parrott, III, 74, passed away at his home on Sunday, April 20, 2025. Born in Wayne County, he was the son of the late Albert D. Parrott and Frances Knott Parrott.

In addition to his parents, Bert was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Parrott Moehle.

Bert is survived by his sister, Reid Parrott Lancaster; and niece and nephews, Caroline, Harrison, and Graham Lancaster.

A graveside service to celebrate Bert’s life will be held at Willow Dale Cemetery in Goldsboro, NC. The date and time of services will be announced in the coming days.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, PO Box 984, Goldsboro, NC 27534 or to the American Lung Association National Direct Response Headquarters PO Box 756 Osceola, WI 54020-0756 in memory of Bert.
