Wayne County Boards to Hold Joint Meeting on Education Budget and Priorities

GOLDSBORO, N.C. – The Wayne County Board of Commissioners and the Wayne County Board of Education will come together for a joint meeting on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. The meeting will be held at The Maxwell Center, located at 3114 Wayne Memorial Drive in Goldsboro.

The joint session will open with the Pledge of Allegiance, followed by a working lunch and a key agenda item — the presentation of the Superintendent’s proposed budget for the 2025-2026 fiscal year. The meeting aims to foster dialogue between the two governing bodies about the district’s financial priorities, educational needs, and upcoming initiatives. Discussion and comments from both boards are expected following the budget presentation.
