NCDOT Holding Public Hearing on Wayne Memorial Drive Project

The North Carolina Department of Transportation is holding a public hearing on the proposed improvements to Wayne Memorial Drive.

The hearing is being held from 5 p.m. to 7 on Mar. 27 at the Maxwell Center.

The N.C. Department of Transportation proposes improvements to Wayne Memorial Drive from Country Day to New Hope roads in Wayne County.

The purpose of the proposed project is to improve traffic and mobility along the corridor.

The project will improve operation and mobility by adding a median and two U-turn bulbs.

The proposed improvements can be viewed or downloaded from the project website.

The information presented at this public meeting will allow for individual discussions with project engineers, but there will be no formal presentation.

NCDOT representatives will be available to answer questions and receive comments. The comments and information received will be taken into consideration as work on the project develops.
