March 1, 2025, 79, Mount Olive —

Dorothy Lee Davis Cain, age 79, passed away in the early morning hours of Saturday, March 1st with her loving son by her side at his residence. Born in Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Carl Ray Davis and Dorothy Martin Adams. Dorothy was a Certified Nursing Assistant, having served many years at Sunbridge of Mount Olive. She loved spending time with her family and friends and going to the NCO Club at Seymour Johnson AFB. She also enjoyed bowling, watching golf, professional wrestling and going to the beach. She was not one to hold back on her feelings about you; if she liked you, she told you.

A service to celebrate her life will be held on Thursday, March 6th, at 3:00pm at Wayne Memorial Park with Pastor Barry Stallings officiating. The family will greet friends at the grave following the service and at other times at the home.

Dorothy is survived by her son, Dennis Ray “Sonny” Cain. Also surviving is Tommy Sutton
