July 25, 2024, 86, Goldsboro —

Claudette Sprinkle Moore, 86, of Goldsboro passed away Thursday evening, July 25, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born May 3, 1938, in Van Lear, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Floyd and Loma Bell (Hamon) Sprinkle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 56 years, Haven J.D. Moore, and her brothers Walter, Clayton, and Junior, and her sisters Thelma, Daisy, Ruth, and Ruby.  She leaves her loving family to cherish her memories; her son Steve (Debra) Moore, of Greenland, NH, daughters Sharon (Deik) Reinhard of Kenly, Lisa Lane of Goldsboro, and Lori (Brian) Tripaldi of Goldsboro; grandchildren Selena, Nathan (Krystal) and Megan Moore,  Cameron, Derek and Aubrey (Hillary) Reinhard, Sara (Bob) Drew, and Brayden Tripaldi; great-grandchildren Isabella Holacka-Drew, Addison and Ryland Reinhard, and Haven, Leon, and Allisen Moore; sister Loretta Jarrell of Goldsboro; sister-in-law Faye Meadows of Ohio and brother-in-law Reece Moore of West Virginia and many loving nieces and nephews.

She married the love of her life on December 24, 1955, and they traveled the country with their four children following Haven’s 27-year military career.  After Haven’s retirement at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in 1982, they made Goldsboro their home.  In life, she was a woman of deep faith who enjoyed spending time with her family, working in her yard, trips to Disney World, and the beach, especially Hawaii where she and Haven will have their final resting place.

Her family sincerely thanks CenterWell Home Health and Gentiva Hospice for their loving care and support they showed to Claudette and her entire family throughout her illness and during her final days.

Private final arrangements were lovingly handled by Howell Funeral Home.

She will be sadly missed, never forgotten, and forever cherished by her family.
