James Clifton Wiggins, Jr., 70, 332 E. Evans Road, passed away Saturday at Rex UNC Hospital with his family by his side.
He was born to the late James Clifton Wiggins and the late Shirley Ann Edwards Wiggins Murphy in Princeton. He spent years in the United States Army and later retired from Southern Piping Company.

James is survived by children, Marsha Ann Wiggins of Gainesville, FL and Tina Marie Thomas and husband Bert of Princeton, James C. “J. C.” Wiggins, III of Princeton and Jeffrey L. Wiggins and wife Barri-Ann of Princeton, three sister, Patricia Ann Couch of Asheville, Cathy Deloris Fritzinger of Goldsboro, and Sherry Ann Pittman of Ramsey, IN. grandchildren, Lee King, Travis King, Jeremy Wiggins, Austin Wiggins, Destiny Keebler, Charles M. Keebler, and April Wiggins, and 5 great-grandchildren.

Along with his parents, James was preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth Ann Burton Wiggins, and a brother Jimmy Wiggins.

Funeral services will be Friday, May 31st at 11:00 am in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, 3888 Hwy 70 West. The Rev. Donald Massey will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 31st from 10:00 am to 11:00 am in the Evergreen Funeral Chapel and at other times at the home of Jeffrey and Barri-Ann Wiggins at 808 Oakland Church Road, Princeton.
