Shirley Bass Justice, 81, of Goldsboro passed away Friday morning, February 17, 2023, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.

She was born in Wayne County on March 5, 1941, to the late James and Margie Davis Bass.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 22, 2023, from 6 until 7 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.

She is survived by twin two sons, Anthony Mark Wells and Joseph Clark Wells of Goldsboro; one daughter, Penny Lou Wells Hill of Goldsboro; sister, Sandra Hall; brother, Gordon “Smokey” Bass; five grandchildren, Brayden Wells, Jaxson Wells, Kimberly Wells, April Hill, and Laurie Hill; one great-granddaughter, Jasmine and special friends, Margie West and Brenda Merritt.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Terry Justice; stepmother, Martha Hellon Gaskins Bass; son, Michael Edward Wells; son-in-law, David Ray Hill and her brothers, James “Buddy” Bass, Danny “Kim” Bass, Steve Bass and Roy David Bass.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
