Kimberly “Kim” Lewis Jones

October 21, 2022, 58, La Grange –

January 11, 1964 – October 21, 2022

Kimberly “Kim” Lewis Jones was called to her heavenly home on Friday, October 21, 2022, surrounded by her family and friends. Kim was born on January 11, 1964, to the late James Edward Lewis and Louene DeVol Lewis in Wellston, OH. She was married to the love of her life, David Earl Jones for 10 years.

Kim worked at Park Designs as the HR Manager for 18 years, until her retirement in 2020. She had special compassion and care for others. One of Kim’s many gifts included photography. She enjoyed capturing precious memories and this was one of her ways of showing her care. Watching people smile and laugh brought her much joy. In turn, people gravitated to Kim. She had much support throughout her entire life, but especially during her illness.

Her relationship with her Lord and Savior was at the center of her life. Kim and David met in church and they continued to put God first in their marriage. They worshiped together at Freedom Baptist Church. She was passionate about sharing her love for Christ and her gratefulness for the amazing grace of God to provide salvation to all who call on the name of the Lord. Listening to gospel music brought her peace. She is now enjoying the ultimate eternal peace with her Lord.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, October 24, 2022, at 2 pm at Freedom Baptist Church, Goldsboro, NC. The family will greet friends immediately following the service.

Kim is survived by her husband, David Earl Jones; siblings, Lu Ann Barber (Joey), and Belinda Bagwell (Marc); James Edward Lewis II (Penny), and Lori Perry (Jimmy); two step-sisters, Cherry Kershner (Richard) and Jennifer Hawkins (Melvin); special friends, Debbie and Gary Caulder, Becky and Fred Berger; and a special furry companion she named “Presley”.

The family would like to offer a special thank you to the nurses of Community Hospice Care, Jayne Knowles, and Desny Reece. In addition, the family would also like to thank Rhonda Stark for her kindness.

In lieu of flowers, Kim requested donations to be made to Freedom Baptist Church or Kitty Askins Hospice Care, where she volunteered.
