Donald Joseph Jankowski, 63, entered into the joy of his salvation on Friday, June 24, 2022, while in the comfort of his home surrounded by the love and warm embraces of his family. Donny was born in Kingston, New York to Joanne Anameier and the late Donald Jankowski on June 10, 1959.

Growing up in Mount Marion, NY, Donny created many lasting friendships that have sustained both time and distance. Many of his closest friendships were formed during his time in Mount Marion.

After long term disability from cancer he retired from Electrolux in Kinston. In his younger life he enjoyed riding his Harley motorcycle with friends. Donny also loved to ride in his Jeep with the top off and view the majestic ocean and feel the serenity it gave him. The smell of salt air was beyond therapeutic for Donny as he prized every opportunity to head to the beach.

Donny was a man of faith, and expressed the love of the Lord through confession and membership at Love Memorial Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 1, 2022, from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home followed by a service to celebrate Donny’s life at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Richard Toler officiating.

Donny is survived by his wife, Terry Reed Jankowski; daughters , Brooke Jankowski and fiancée, Tom Blanchard of Greenville and Brittany Jankowski and friend, Noah Gray; mother, Joanne Anameier and husband, Frederick of Hubert; brother, David Jankowski and wife, Cissy of Swansboro; sister, Susan Clausi and husband, Richard; and several nieces and nephews that he loved very much. He is also survived by Terry’s family: sons, Christopher Reed and wife, Amy and Kyler Reed and fiancée, Brittany Bianco; and grandchildren, Harper, Jace and Josie.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in his memory to Love Memorial Baptist Church, 192 Woodland Church Road, Goldsboro, NC 27530.
