January 31, 2022, 76, Faison –

Miss Patsy Elizabeth Hollingsworth, native of the Faison area, went to be with Jesus Monday, January 31, 2022. God’s angels came for her at Caswell Center in Kinston which had been her home for many years. She was 76.

Patsy was preceded in death by her father, Joe Hollingsworth; her mother, Billie Hargrove Hollingsworth Lee; her step-father, J. Wesley Lee; and a sister, Glenda Hollingsworth Swinson.

She is survived by her brother, Joe Tom Hollingsworth of Puerto Rica; a sister, Gayle Hollingsworth Joyner of Faison, and her friend, Bill Neil, of Denver, NC; a brother-in-law, Clayton Swinson of Mount Olive; nieces and nephews, Janet Swinson, Michael Joyner and wife, Cindy, Kellie Jo Winchell and Monika Grant; and a great-nephew, Zach.

Patsy was a special lady and during her growing up years, she was known all over the town of Faison as she’d visit from store to store. Her presence was deeply felt, and now her absence leaves a great void in the lives of those whom she touched.

Her life will be remembered on Thursday, February 3, at 12:30 pm in a graveside service at Wayne Memorial Park. The Rev. Paul Rose will officiate. Memorial gifts may be made to Faison Fire and Rescue, PO Box 758, Faison NC 2834l.
