Vera Ann Person Ingram, 87, peacefully passed away on Friday December 3, 2021 at Wayne UNC Health Care. Vera was born in Wayne County to the late Raymond and Ada Hare Person on December 18, 1933. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Ingram; daughter, Marisa Ingram Barwick; sister, Louvenia Ingram; and brother, Bobby Person.

The family will receive friends on Monday, December 6, 2021 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home. A service to celebrate Vera’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home with Pastor Andy Stovall officiating. Interment will be in Wayne Memorial Park.

Vera is survived by her children, Sheena Kerr Dailey and husband, Scott of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; Caron Ingram and partner, Lillian Funk of Selma; and Kim Ingram and wife, Terri of Goldsboro; sister, Veronica Hare Turnage and husband, Jack of Princeton; brother, B.J. Person and wife, Debbie of South Carolina; and her grandchildren, Michael Todd Kerr, Monica Kerr Clark, Tyler Taylor, Travis Barwick, Kalan Barwick, Carrie Ann Ingram, and Justin Ingram.
