(GDN) — On Sunday, the Goldsboro Police Department responded to  the 900 block of Isler Street following a ShotSpotter alert and a report of shots fired. Officers immediately located a gunshot victim, 35-year-old Quinton D. Atkinson of Pikeville. Atkinson was taken to Wayne UNC Healthcare and later transported to Vidant Medical Center for further treatment.  He is listed in good condition and is expected to be released from the hospital at any time. The GPD’s Investigations Division and Crime Scene Unit responded to the scene.  This case remains under investigation.
