Teresa “Gail” Howard, 63, gained her angel wings Wednesday, October 20, 2021. Gail was born in Lenoir County to Harry and Louise Price on December 15, 1957. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Harold Lee Price, and granddaughter, Dawn Malpass.

Gail was retired from Kitty Askins where she loved caring for patients and spending time with their families, making sure everyone had all that they wanted and needed. When she wasn’t working, she was spending time with her grandbabies or working in her yard. She loved her flower beds and wanted them to be perfect all the time.

On Sundays, Gail’s favorite place to be was in her kitchen preparing a big meal for her family to eat and spend time together. In her final days, she could be found on her front porch with her family and close friends.

A memorial service to celebrate Gail’s life will be held Monday, October 25, 2021, at 6 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home. Family will receive friends for visitation in the hour before the service.

Gail is survived by her husband of twenty-six years, Dennis Howard; her children, Jaimie Phelps, of La Grange, Tracy Newsome (David), of Kinston, and Raymond Fields (Lori), of Goldsboro; her sisters, Sandra Herring (Gerald), of Dover, and Cindy Davis (Jimmy) of Kinston; grandchildren, Raelyn and Olivia Phelps, Lynn Malpass, Rylee and Ashton Fields; great-grandchildren, Davin, Gage, Raven, and Peyton Malpass; best friend, Debra Hancock, of La Grange; and many special nieces and nephews; and not to be forgotten, her beloved “baby”, Gizzy.
