There’s just two more business days for those interested in serving as Goldsboro’s next Mayor to submit an application.
The Goldsboro City Council is looking for individuals who are interested in filling the vacant Mayoral seat, which occurred as a result of Mayor Chuck Allen resigning as of June 15th. The selected individual will serve for the remainder of the term, which will end in November 2023. To qualify, individual must:
- Be a qualified voter in the City of Goldsboro.
- Be at least 21 years of age and not adjudged a felon not having had their rights restored.
- Currently live within the boundaries of the City of Goldsboro and have done so for at least the last thirty (30) days.
Interested citizens who meet these requirements can pick up an application from the City Clerk’s office at City Hall at 200 N. Center Street, Goldsboro, NC or download the application on the City of Goldsboro’s website. Applications are due by 5 PM on Friday, July 23rd.
