Myra Daughtry Capps, 83, passed away at her home on Wednesday, January 27, 2021. She was born in Johnston County on September 18, 1937 to the late Robert Lee Daughtry and Zelda Moore Daughtry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles William Capps and a brother, Jerry Daughtry.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until 12:00 noon on Saturday, January 30, 2021 in the chapel of Casey Funeral Home and Cremations.

The funeral will take place at 12:00 noon in the Casey Funeral Home and Cremations Chapel with the Reverend Dennis Pollock officiating. The burial will follow in Princeton Cemetery.

Myra was a member of Tee’s Chapel Church. She retired from Wachovia Bank after 30 years of service.She volunteered for UNC Johnston Health and also Meals of Wheels.

She is survived by sons, Jeff Radford (Kay), Andy Capps (Brenda), and Kevin Capps (Gloria); brothers, Glenn Daughtry (Glenda) and Tom Daughtry (Barbara); sisters, Sue Lambert and Diane Barefoot; grandchildren, Chris Capps (Courtney) and Elizabeth Capps; great grandchild, Clara Capps; step grandchildren, Jennifer Ciliberto (Nathan), Joe Jessup (Crystal), Summer Barbour (Chris), Leslie Boykin and Lindsie Boykin; step great grandchildren, Hali, Ben, Lily, Joseph, and Lilly Mae.
