100 Deadliest Days Of Summer

This week begins the 100 deadliest days of summer, when the number of crash fatalities involving a teen drivers rises.

More people, including teenagers, travel between Memorial Day and Labor Day. As coronavirus restrictions ease across the state, the Governor’s Highway Safety Program is reminding parents, teachers and caretakers to talk to young people about safety on the road.

Speeding, drinking and driving, and distracted driving are leading contributors to crashes involving teenage drivers, and all are preventable.
