Protest Backs Improving Conditions For City Workers

Protesters push for better conditions for Goldsboro city workers.

The group gathered in front of Goldsboro City Hall Tuesday afternoon.

NC Public Service Workers Union, UE Local 150 President Bryce Carter tells GoldsboroDailyNews.com the group was asking for better safety measures and personal protective equipment for Goldsboro city workers amidst the coronavirus pandemic.

There’s also a push to allow the city workers to organize into a union.

The group has delivered a letter to Goldsboro City Manager Tim Salmon and the Goldsboro Public Works Department asking that the employees be allowed to organize into a union and pushing for the improved safety precautions.
