May 31, 2026, 73, Goldsboro – Louise Wainwright Walker, age 73, passed away Sunday at Wayne/UNC Healthcare. Born in Lenior County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Alexander Wainwright and Lucille Hinson Wainwright.
Louise found great joy in caring for those she loved. She cherished cooking for her family and was especially known for her delicious homemade chocolate pies, which became a favorite tradition for many. Her greatest happiness came from spending time with her children and grandchildren, whom she loved deeply and unconditionally. Louise treasured family trips to the beach, adored her beloved dogs, and could often be found delighted in music and dancing. Her kind heart, loving spirit, and devotion to her family created countless cherished memories that will be treasured forever.
Louise is survived by children, Clifford Eugene Walker & wife, Pamela, David Alex Walker & wife, Jaimie, Allen Lane & wife, Faith; her grandchildren, Maddie Walker, Kayla Walker, Nolan Lane, Maci Lane, Everly Lane and Raelynn Lane, Christian Walker, Maygan Walker, Ashley Stallings and Shane Clark; great grandchildren, Ashton Walker, Amari Walker, James Walker and Ayden Walker, Michael Hill & girlfriend, Lizzie Barfield, Landon Hill, Chase Walker and Morgan Stallings; niece, Denise Wade and great nephew, Wayne Bullock.
Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Davis Family Cemetery with Rev. Cullen Jarman officiating. The family will visit with family and friends following the service at the graveside.
