MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. — The Town of Mount Olive is advising motorists of a temporary lane closure on Breazeale Avenue as crews work to install a new sewer pipe.
According to town officials, the southbound lane of Breazeale Avenue at West James Street will be closed on Monday, November 2, and Tuesday, November 3, 2026, from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. each day.
The closure will also affect the area from West James Street to Southerland Street.
Flaggers will be stationed at the work site to direct traffic and maintain one open lane during construction.
Town officials say both lanes will reopen after 6 p.m. Monday evening before work resumes Tuesday morning.
Motorists traveling through the area are encouraged to use caution, watch for flaggers and construction crews, and allow additional travel time.
The temporary closure is necessary to accommodate the installation of a new sewer pipe.
