GOLDSBORO, N.C. — The Gold-Wayne National Pan-Hellenic Council has announced that its upcoming “Policy Matters: A Party With a Purpose” civic education fair has been postponed and rescheduled for Wednesday, October 14, 2026.
The free, nonpartisan community event will take place from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at W.A. Foster in Goldsboro.
Organizers are encouraging residents to mark their calendars for the new date and join them for an evening focused on civic education, community engagement, and family-friendly entertainment.
The event, themed “Together for an Informed Community,” is designed to bring residents together for meaningful conversations about important community issues while providing opportunities to learn more about civic participation.
Attendees can look forward to issue stations, voter resources, food trucks, music, and activities for the entire family.
The event brings together members of several historically Black Greek-letter organizations, including Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, and Zeta Phi Beta Sorority.
With its message of community conversation, civic power, and brighter tomorrows, the fair aims to encourage informed participation and strengthen community connections.
Residents are reminded that the event will no longer take place on its originally scheduled date. The new date is Wednesday, October 14, from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at W.A. Foster in Goldsboro.
