September 21, 2026, 97, – Aldridge Benton Lassiter, Jr. age 97, went to his heavenly home on Monday, September 21, 2026 while at Kitty Askins Hospice Center. Born and raised in Johnston County he was the son of the Aldridge Benton Lassiter, Sr. and Emily Jones Lassiter. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine Phillips Lassiter, his daughter, Reba Vasquez and his grandson, A.B. Lassiter, IV (little Jr.).
Mr. Lassiter is survived by his daughters, Emily Ellis & husband, Eddie, Gwana Arcura & husband, Bob, and Joan Peterson; her son, Aldridge Benton Lassiter, III & wife, Tanis. He also had a person that he treated as his son, Eddie Godwin, whom he loved dearly.
He had numerous grandchildren, step grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great- great grandchildren.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Sarah Godwin, Rossie Adams, Edith Reid and Ann Reilly.
Services will be held at a later date.
